This tavern remains as gruff and tough as its founder, a brewer obsessed with recreating the legendary Dragonfire Ale. They did eventually perfect the recipe. Though the secret ingredient was not so easy to keep secret, it turns out.

To this day, beneath the tavern, a Dragon lies on her horde of gold, heating  the vats and imbuing the ale with richness, smokiness, and an alcohol level that could knock the beard off a dwarf. In exchange the Dragon gets a share of the profit and a healthy amount of roasted livestock. It turns out the whole city is quite eager to keep the Dragon happy by buying more ale.

Travelers come from far and wide to try the legendary ale, though they are told to keep their complaints to themselves, there is a dragon in the cellar after all.
